Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Staff LPN Ambulatory is responsible for providing direct patient care under the direction of a physician or other licensed provider in an ambulatory care setting. Assigned tasks may include rooming patients, obtaining vitals, administering medications in-office, initiating/discontinuing IV fluids, performing point-of-care lab testing, assisting with procedures, and triaging patient phone calls. All responsibilities are to be carried out in accordance with applicable state regulations.

• Provides general nursing services to patients under the supervision of a physician or other licensed provider within the scope of practice for the LPN.
• Performs clinical skills such as phlebotomy, EKGs, point-of-care testing, and medication administration.
• Assists with medical office procedures and initiating/discontinuing IV fluids as directed.
• Follows HIPAA, CLIA, OSHA, Medication Management, and Infection Prevention procedures for cleaning and sterilization of equipment and/or instruments.
• Obtains vital signs, patient history, and maintains accurate and prompt charting in the patient's record.
• Triage calls, provide test and lab results to patients, and present relevant information to provider with correct medical terminology.
• Maintains a constant state of alertness and performs all tasks safely as a safety-sensitive position requires.

  Associate or Trade School Equivalent in Nursing
