Job Overview

This position is based at the Southern Missouri Reentry facility and is responsible for monitoring and documenting resident sign-outs, counts, and activities in accordance with established policies and procedures. The position also performs other related duties as assigned within a federal residential reentry center (RRC).

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Manages resident movement by conducting and documenting client sign-ins and sign-outs.
  • Performs resident intake and discharge procedures in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Maintains accountability for all residents and ensures accurate tracking of resident status and location.
  • Conducts pat searches of residents and performs inspections and searches of resident sleeping quarters, common areas, and resident vehicles as required.
  • Confiscates and properly documents contraband in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
  • Identifies, reports, and documents program violations, rule infractions, unusual incidents, and other significant events.
  • Responds to and manages crisis situations using appropriate intervention techniques and established procedures.
  • Monitors security cameras and facility activity to promote a safe and secure environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
  • Enforces facility rules, policies, and standards of resident conduct.
  • Supervises and monitors visitors while on facility premises.
  • Monitors and documents resident medication usage in accordance with established procedures.
  • Prepares required reports and maintains accurate logs and records.
  • Oversees and monitors resident activities within the facility to ensure compliance with established rules, schedules, and program requirements.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to write and type legible reports.
  • Ability to plan motivate, control, schedule, train and react quickly and appropriately to emergencies, effectively communicate with residents and staff.
  • Ability to work any assigned shift as a relief only position.
  • Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, and walk during a daily routine, with the ability to stand for long lengths of time.
  • Ability to work with computers and the applicable software typically used by the facility.
  • Must be able to follow rules and regulations and compliance tasks as outlined in the Federal Bureau of Prison’s Statement of Work.
  • Must be able to follow rules and regulations and complete assigned tasks
Certifications and License
  • Valid driver's license and appropriate liability insurance preferred. Positions in this classification may be required to travel and work at multiple sites regularly.
  • First Aid / CPR / AED certification completed within the probationary period and maintained throughout employment.
