Instructor of Nursing - Clinical Instruction

Compensation: Dependent upon experience. Full‑time nursing faculty also receive a $10,000 annual stipend.

San Juan College is increasing its Nursing Program by 50% and seeks a full‑time, nine‑month Instructor of Nursing for Clinical Instruction.

• Report to the Director of Nursing in the School of Health Sciences.
• Teach nursing courses and supervise students, including evening clinical experiences.
• Conduct pre‑ and post‑clinical conferences, evaluate student progress, and prepare written evaluations.
• Maintain posted office hours, substitute as needed, and perform tasks assigned by the program director.
• Develop and revise curriculum, attend school and department meetings, and participate in college committees.

• Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program. A BSN with graduate coursework may qualify, but the Master’s must be completed within five years of hire.
• Current RN license issued by the New Mexico Board of Nursing or eligibility for licensure in New Mexico.
• Strong clinical skills, excellent communication and teamwork, and a commitment to a quality nursing program.
