Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Administrative Assistant Associate provides administrative and logistical support for the DACC Department of Mathematics and Statistics and the DACC Science, Engineering and Mathematics (SEM) Division.
Primary responsibilities include support in hiring full and part time faculty; tracking class schedules and calculating and submitting overload pay requests; providing general administrative support to Mathematics and Statistics Department Faculty and staff and SEM faculty and staff; hiring and monitoring students workers within the SEM Division.
The position requires strong organizational, communication, customer service, and technology skills and the ability to manage office and administrative tasks simultaneously.
QualificationsRequired
Education and Experience:
High School diploma + 1 years of relevant experience, or higher degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience providing administrative support in a university or education organization.
- Familiarity with New Mexico communities and educational organizations is desirable.
- Experience providing administrative support within the NMSU System

Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.

Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 10 pounds or some standing or walking.
