Job Title
At the full performance level (GS-11) the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Review assigned contract specifications and project plans prior to construction to determine accuracy and completeness of all parts applicable to materials processing, testing, reports, and errors.
- Conduct quality assurance and quality control tests of concrete and earthen construction.
- Prepare technical documentation for work assignments and review documentation of lower graded technicians.
- Serve as the expert on matters of construction materials testing and analysis, with the ability to make independent decisions on materials suitability.
- Plan, organize, coordinate, and conduct materials assigned investigation and testing programs, performs technical evaluation and analysis.
- Perform technical analysis of construction schedules, proposals, submittals, modifications, and other contractor provided documentation.
