Join us at Urenco USA (UUSA), where we're leading the way in nuclear energy innovation. Our state‑of‑the‑art facility located in Eunice, NM, is the only large‑scale commercial uranium enrichment facility in North America. We are actively looking for individuals who are ready to work collaboratively on‑site in Eunice and can benefit from relocation support.
Summary Of Responsibilities- Independently perform analysis and design activities in support of the facility, engineering programs and projects.
- Utilize basic and advanced engineering fundamentals to perform owner acceptance reviews of design packages developed by design agencies.
- Perform other engineering activities required to support facility design, configuration control and operation.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical engineering, nuclear engineering, or equivalent.
- 3–5 years of related NCS/ISA work experience.
- Completion of a training program in the physics of criticality in associated safety practices (ANSI/ANS 8.26).
- Experience performing chemical dose consequence analyses.
- Master's or PhD from an accredited institution in Physics, Nuclear or Chemical Engineering.
- Professional Engineering (PE) License obtained by accredited examination.
- 5 or more years of related work experience, including 2 years in a nuclear facility.
- 2+ years of experience at a Part 70 licensee.
- Design safety basis development, HAZOP, documented safety analysis experience.

Eunice, NM. - Work schedule:
Professional schedule with minimal night/ weekend support; some nights and weekends may be required; employees subject to call‑outs as needed. - Travel required:
10% of the time or less. - Security clearance requirement:
Controlled Access Area (CAA) access and L or Q level security clearance. - Emergency response requirement: ERO duty may be required, including 24/7 on‑call during a designated team duty week.
- Radiological exposure expectations: < 100 mrem/yr in general office or plant production areas.
- Criticality safety, chemical dose consequence and/or integrated safety analysis experience.
- Experience in a 10 CFR Part 70 facility.
- Monte‑Carlo computer code experience (MCNP or MONK preferred) for nuclear engineer candidates.
- RASCAL, ALOHA or similar computer code experience preferred for other disciplines.
- Ability to propose and implement changes for the facility.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of the facility's design and licensing basis in the assigned area of responsibility; acquire and maintain required training and qualifications.
- Implement the physical inventory program, including program planning, coordination of inventory activities and compilation of all data collected.
- Develop resolution of technical problems in accordance with established procedures and vendor documents.
- Perform analysis, calculations and develop designs in support of assigned facility and engineering programs and projects.
- Perform technical and quality reviews of engineering and technical products, including non‑typical documents and situations; maintain 10 CFR 70.72(c) review qualifications.
- Respond to departmental engineering inquiries, including interpreting specifications and generating strategies for project/system implementation.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced engineering personnel.
- Provide leadership and coordination of engineering projects; assist in establishing knowledge and programs required for effective implementation.
- Collaborate with department management to resolve high‑visibility engineering issues.
- Communicate and work effectively with other organizations to resolve technical issues and implement engineering outputs.
- Apply sound engineering judgment and professional rigor in all analyses and tasks.
- Maintain regulatory and schedule compliance for assigned tasks.

- Resolve and/or elevate issues to appropriate management levels in a timely fashion.
