Position
Radar Systems Engineer at Raytheon Mission Capability Verification Center (MCVC) located on White Sands Missile Range (WSMR), NM. The role requires an active, transferable DoD Secret Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship required). Travel up to 50% required.
Responsibilities- Provide technical support for radar system issues and lead troubleshooting activities.
- Manage moderately scoped projects and processes.
- Conduct engineering tests to diagnose and resolve radar system anomalies (REX, BSG, antenna, sub‑array, TRIMM issues).
- Deliver weekly updates on engineering activities.
- Maintain a radar performance notebook capturing El Ops runs, satellite tracks, IMU measurements, and radar calibration results.
- Submit notebook entries to MDC for performance monitoring, data analysis, and regression testing.
- Ensure compliance with QA and ALCS reporting requirements by delivering accurate documentation.
- Define and execute data collection, reduction, and analysis procedures for radar performance.
- Communicate system status to end user; coordinate calibration and maintenance activities as required.
- Adhere to RTX Values and Behaviors.
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
- Minimum of 5 years prior engineering experience.
- Experience leading field or range test activities.
- Experience with test instrumentation, telemetry, radar systems, communications or weapons systems integration.
- Capability of root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
- Familiarity with missile systems, air defense systems, or command‑and‑control platforms.
- Knowledge of range safety and environmental compliance requirements.
- Comptia Security+ certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire.
- Prior military or defense industry test range experience.
- Experience supporting DoD developmental test (DT) and operational test (OT) events.
- Strong understanding of systems engineering and test methodologies.

SalaryEstimated range: $86,800 – $165,200 USD.
