LTAMDS Generator Technician

Job Summary

In Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SETC) we integrate, verify, and validate our products. The Mission Capability Verification Center within SETC is searching for a qualified Diesel Generator Technician to support program test operations at White Sands Missile Range, NM. The position is onsite and requires travel 50% to support assigned systems.

• Support mission execution test events for radars or missile flight tests, including travel to various sites on range.
• Provide technical support to engineers on a variety of tasks.
• Provide generator support, equipment movement, site establishment and sustainment locally on WSMR and multiple testing locations globally.
• Perform routine maintenance including PMCS/engine services and troubleshooting.
• Drive Class A vehicles, operate power generators, coordinate logistics for site support/movement.
• Assist with electrical setup and inspection and general facility maintenance.
• Support MCVC as needed outside of primary duties.

• Typical requires a degree or other 2-year post high school training with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience collaborating with a multi‑disciplinary team to achieve common goals.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems in real time.
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class

• Experience with medium voltage generators and familiarity with US Army Technical Manuals.
• Familiarity with load banking generators and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
• Ability to work across different domains and disciplines.
• Familiarity with VOLVO, Cummins, Caterpillar and certifications within a supporting trade (Electrical, HVAC, Automotive).
• Ability to independently prioritize work in alignment with schedule and budget.

• Relocation eligible.
• Competitive salary range $60,000 - $114,000 USD.

-based role that requires a U.S. citizen and an active or interim DoD Secret clearance prior to start date.
