TNAA Total Med Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a travel job in Farmington, New Mexico.

Responsibilities- As an OT, responsible for the evaluation and development of a plan of care for patients needing to improve, regain and develop skills for daily living in the acute care setting.
- Review patients' medical history, assess, and observe patients performing tasks.
- Evaluate a patient's condition and needs; develop a treatment plan with specific goals and activities.
- Assist individuals with various disabilities to perform tasks and improve function.
- Evaluate a patient's home or workplace and identify potential improvements based on health needs.
- Educate a patient's family and employer on how to accommodate and care for the patient.
- Recommend and instruct on the use of any necessary equipment.
- Assess and document patient activities and progress for evaluations, billing, and communication with physicians and other healthcare providers.
- Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.
- Must have 6 months of experience; new grads are encouraged to apply. Experience of 1 year preferred; a 6-month experience may be accepted for an exceptional candidate.
- BLS and NBCOT-OTR National Certification with state-specific licensing.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods; ability to bend, lean or stoop as needed. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
Additional
Certifications:
NBCOT (OTR), BLS; 1 year experience preferred. Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
