CNC Machinist

CNC machinists are responsible for the safe operation of CNC equipment to complete assigned projects and parts manufacturing that meet the required dimensional tolerances for each specific part.

Key functions include:

• Program using Mastercam
• Set up, and run CNC machinery Lathe and mills independently
• Handle routine maintenance on all computer-controlled machines.
• Achieve tight machining tolerances down to +/- 0.0005.
• Complete tasks independently or alongside team members.

Work qualifications:

• Experience with overhead crane operation
• Experience with forklift operation
• Utilize both manual tools and CNC equipment effectively.
• Familiar with precision measuring equipment
• Must adhere to all APG Safety and Quality procedures and processes

Educational requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• OSHA 30 training is a plus

Work environment/physical demands:

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet the demands of the role.
• Must be able to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time or until the end of the assigned shift.
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs. safely and properly, as needed throughout the assigned shift with or without assistance.
• Must be able to bend/stoop, squat, reach above shoulder height, crouch, balance, and push/pull.
