Value Stream Lead
The Value Stream Lead (VSL) is responsible for supporting a production and depot manufacturing environment at the Raytheon Diné Facility (Farmington, New Mexico) manufacturing location. The successful candidate will report to a Factory Support Manager and be accountable for the daily readiness and management of up to 20+ employees within one shift. The VSL will be tasked to help test associates and production employees.
The VSL will ensure the test associates and production employees are trained and working compliantly and safely with all the tools they need to maintain production rates.
The candidate must be capable and willing to work extended hours or alternate shifts (when required) in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment. The ideal candidate will possess the demonstrated skills and experience necessary to perform in both manufacturing and technical leadership roles. Also, the candidate will be able to provide valuable floor insight to a cross-functional (Operations, Engineering, Test Equipment, etc.) team.
This position is located at the Raytheon Dine Facility in Farmington, NM. RTX Dine Facility adheres to the Navajo Nation Preference in Employment Act in areas of recruitment and hiring practices.
What You Will Do
- Driving goals and accountability throughout cell
- Workforce planning and forecasting.
- Employee hiring, training, and unit hour performance.
- Area layout and flow management
- Ensuring the full compliance of company policies and procedures
- Knowledge of and operating within the contractual requirements set forth in a multiple
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of two (2) years prior relevant experience with specialized knowledge of technical or operational practices.
- Experience with either manufacturing or operations.
- Experience with work scheduling, coaching, leading a team, and or process execution.
- U.S. Citizen - U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience working in a cross-functional team environment.
- Experience executing assembly and/or test operations.
- Knowledge of manufacturing practices and instructions
- Knowledge of Quality practices and instructions
- Superior communication skills
- Experience in manufacturing line balancing
- Labor management including attendance, employee relations & behavior, administrative responsibilities, and employee performance.
- Ability to create/sustain a fair and equitable work environment.
- Lean manufacturing application
- Experience with test processes
- Knowledge of existing Raytheon execution systems (PRISM, SAP)
- Knowledge and use of Microsoft 365 (Office) Edge, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Word
- Ability to develop solutions to problems of medium scope and complexity.
- Knowledge of sequencing fabrication, assembly, installation, testing and other manufacturing operations relation to specific portions of the product.
