Travel RN - PACU

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN - PACU for a 13-week travel assignment at a Level III Trauma Center in Farmington, NM, requiring a minimum of 3 years of experience and an active NM or Compact RN license.

Job Details

• Work setting is the Main PACU floor of a 198-bed Level III Trauma Center serving the Four Corners region of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah,

• Role is Phase I Recovery RN covering General Surgery, Ortho, Neuro, Ob/Gyn, Urology, ENT, and Robotics cases,

• Facility performs Level I and II trauma procedures (excluding Open Heart surgery) despite its Level III designation, as high-acuity cases are flown in from surrounding regions,

• Patient population is adult mid-to-high acuity,

• Patient ratio is 1:1 to 1:2,

• PACU unit has 7 beds,

• Day shift: 8:30 AM - 6:30 PM,

• On-call required on weekends and evenings,

• Floating may be required to Pre-Op and/or Endoscopy,

• EHR system is Cerner,

• Equipment used includes Mindray monitoring systems,

Job Requirements

• Active NM or Compact RN license required,

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required,

• Minimum 3 years of PACU or post-operative recovery nursing experience required,

• Trauma level recovery experience required,

• Experience with pediatric dental recovery is preferred,

• The city is approximately 1 hour from Durango, CO and 3 hours from Albuquerque, NM
