Position: ICU RN – 10 Bed ICU

Minimum Experience:

1–2 years ICU RN work experience

Pay:
Competitive with BSN and Shift Differentials.

PRN Positions:
Must complete New Employee Orientation, Nursing Orientation, and EPIC Training. To maintain PRN employment status, must work a minimum of 24 hours every six‑week period.

Parkland Health Center is a part of BJC Health Care that provides world‑class medicine alongside deep local roots. The Parkland Health Center has two locations in St. Francois County, Missouri – a full‑service acute care hospital in Farmington and a rural emergency hospital in Bonne Terre. The Farmington campus offers a full continuum of inpatient and medical‑surgical, intensive care, obstetrics, and emergency services, along with outpatient services including oncology, infusion, wound care, and the Huckstep Heart and Lung Center.

Bonne Terre is a rural emergency hospital providing emergency services and outpatient services such as medical observation, lab, radiology, and sleep study. The ICU Department supports inpatient care, providing intensive nursing services including treatment, medication administration, patient teaching, and discharge planning.

• Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the standards of nursing care.
• Promotes patient and family‑centered care in a healing environment.
• Educates patients and families on managing illness or injury, post‑treatment home care, and medication administration.
• Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Participates in professional development.
• Develops, implements, and documents individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and patient, family, or caregiver, in accordance with established guidelines and standards.
• Proactively plans and ensures communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care.
• Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care.
• Assesses patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, including values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population‑specific needs.
• Maintains a constant state of alertness and works in a safe manner, as required for this safety‑sensitive position.

• Education:
  
  Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing.
• Experience:

  Registered Nurse (RN).
