Travel RN - Emergency Dept

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position at a Level III trauma center in Farmington, NM, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience and NM or compact RN licensure.

• Active NM or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC (all must be from AHA)
• Experience with trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and moderate sedation required
• ADN degree or higher required
• Two professional references required for consideration

• Work setting is a 198-bed Level III trauma center serving the Four Corners region of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah
• Emergency Department unit with 48 beds plus flex space
• Patient population includes ESRD, cirrhosis, COPD, psychiatric, substance abuse disorders, CHF, chest pain, abdominal pain, stroke, STEMI, and sepsis cases
• Patient ratios are 4:1 in the Main ED and 6:1 in Fast Track
• Equipment includes Zoll Defibrillator, Level One Blood Transfuser, Qin Flow Blood Warmer, Hospira Plum
  360, Freestyle and iStat POC, and Ultrasound Guided IV
• EMR is Cerner
• Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Minimum of two weekends per schedule required
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required
• Contract options available for 13 or 26 weeks
• Department operates under a team nursing and Pod System model
• A social worker is assigned to the department and a Unit Educator is on staff
• The facility is a Level III trauma center; due to its regional location, Level I and II trauma cases are also flown in
• Facility is located in Farmington, NM, in the San Juan River Valley - approximately 1 hour from Durango, CO and 3 hours from Albuquerque, NM
• The surrounding area offers outdoor recreation including hiking, kayaking, off-roading, and access to six National Parks
