American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2 years of ED experience and multiple advanced certifications.
Details- Level III trauma center Emergency Department with 48 beds plus flex space
- 13-week travel assignment on night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Weekly guaranteed hours of 36
- Minimum of two weekends required per schedule
- No on-call requirements
- No floating requirements
- Team nursing and Pod System with dedicated Social Worker and Unit Educator support
- Patient ratios of 4:1 in Main ED and 6:1 in Fast Track
- Patient population includes ESRD, cirrhosis, COPD, and psychiatric cases
- Common diagnoses include ESRD, substance abuse disorders, psychological disorders, COPD, CHF, abdominal pain, and chest pain
- Utilizes Zoll Defibrillator, Level One Blood Transfuser, Qin Flow Blood Warmer, Hospira Plum
360, Freestyle and iStat POC devices, and Ultrasound Guided IV - Uses Cerner EHR system
- Charge nurse responsibilities required
- Active RN license (New Mexico or Compact) currently in hand
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC (must be AHA-issued)
- Minimum of 2 years RN experience required, with 2 years Emergency Department experience preferred
- RN ADN required for education
- Must have skills/experience in Trauma, Stroke, STEMI, Sepsis, and Moderate Sedation
- Provide emergency care across a wide range of trauma and medical cases, including trauma, stroke, STEMI, and sepsis presentations
- Facility is a Level III trauma center that receives various Level I, II, and III trauma cases via air transport due to its regional location
- Serves the Four Corners region spanning New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah
- Work alongside a dedicated Social Worker and Unit Educator assigned to the department
