American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level III trauma center requiring 2 years of ED experience and multiple advanced certifications.
Details- Level III trauma center emergency department with 48 beds plus flex space
- Patient ratios of 4:1 in the Main ED and 6:1 in Fast Track
- Diverse patient population including ESRD, cirrhosis, COPD, and psychiatric patients
- Common diagnoses include substance abuse disorders, psychological disorders, COPD, CHF, abdominal pain, and chest pain
- Uses Zoll Defibrillator, Level One Blood Transfuser, Qin Flow Blood Warmer, Hospira Plum
360, Freestyle and iStat POC, and ultrasound guided IV equipment - Cerner EMR
- Day shift schedule from 7A to 7P
- Minimum of two weekends per schedule required
- No call requirements
- No floating requirements
- Team nursing and pod system with a social worker and unit educator assigned to the department
- Active RN license (NM or Compact) required
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC (AHA) certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with 2 years of Emergency Department experience preferred
- RN ADN required
- Experience with trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and moderate sedation required
- Provide emergency care across a wide range of trauma, medical, and psychiatric cases
- Various Trauma Level I, II, and III cases may be flown in due to facility location
- Work alongside an Interim ED Manager and Clinical Coordinator
- Two professional references required for consideration
