American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level III trauma center requiring 2+ years ED experience and NM/compact licensure.
Details- Level III trauma center Emergency Department with 48 beds and flex space
- Team nursing and pod system with a social worker and unit educator assigned to the department
- Patient ratios of 4:1 in Main ED and 6:1 in Fast Track
- Patient population includes ESRD, cirrhosis, COPD, and psychiatric cases
- Equipment includes Zoll defibrillator, Level One blood transfuser, Qin Flow blood warmer, Hospira Plum
360, Freestyle and iStat POC, and ultrasound guided IV - Uses Cerner EHR
- Night shift schedule from 7p-7a
- Minimum of two weekends per schedule required
- No call requirements
- No floating requirements
- Active RN license (NM or Compact) required
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required (TNCC must be from AHA)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with 2 years ED experience preferred
- RN ADN required
- Experience with trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and moderate sedation required
- Provide emergency care for a wide range of conditions including trauma, substance abuse disorders, psychological disorders, COPD, CHF, abdominal pain, and chest pain
- Facility flies in various Trauma Level I, II, and III cases due to its regional location
- Hospital serves the Four Corners region spanning New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah
