San Juan Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced Travel Pre-Op Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week assignment in the Pre-Op department. The RN will provide safe, efficient pre-operative care to a diverse patient population across all age groups.
ResponsibilitiesPerform comprehensive pre-operative nursing assessments and patient evaluations.
Prepare patients for scheduled surgical and procedural interventions.
Verify medical history, medications, allergies, consents, and required documentation.
Monitor vital signs and assess patient condition before procedures.
Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
Ensure appropriate pre-operative testing and preparation are completed.
Provide patient and family education regarding procedures and pre-operative instructions.
Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the multidisciplinary care team.
Follow hospital policies, infection-control standards, and patient-safety protocols.
Provide compassionate care to patients across a diverse age range.

Preferred ExperienceExperience in a hospital Pre-Op or Perioperative setting
Experience caring for patients across multiple age groups
Cerner EHR experience
