American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of ED experience and NM or compact RN licensure.
Details- Work in a Level 3 Trauma Emergency Department with 48 beds plus flex space
- Team nursing and Pod System model with a dedicated Social Worker and Unit Educator assigned to the department
- Patient ratios of 4:1 in Main ED and 6:1 in Fast Track
- Patient population includes ESRD, Cirrhosis, COPD, and Psychiatric cases
- Uses Zoll Defibrillator, Level One Blood Transfuser, Qin Flow Blood Warmer, Hospira Plum
360, Freestyle and iStat POC devices, and Ultrasound Guided IV equipment - Charting completed in Cerner EHR
- Night shift schedule from 7P to 7A
- Minimum of two weekend shifts per schedule required
- No call requirements
- No floating requirements
- Active RN license (New Mexico or Compact) required
- Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, and TNCC (AHA issued)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with ED experience preferred
- RN ADN education required
- Experience with Trauma, Stroke, STEMI, Sepsis, and Moderate Sedation required
- Experience treating ESRD, Substance Abuse Disorders, Psychological Disorders, COPD, CHF, Abdominal Pain, and Chest Pain
- Submission requires a completed Area Specific Competency Exam and Skills Checklist
- Provide emergency nursing care within a Level 3 Trauma Center
- Work collaboratively within a team nursing Pod System supported by a Social Worker and Unit Educator
- Reports to the Interim ED Manager and Clinical Coordinator
