American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department position requiring 2 years of ED experience and NM or compact RN licensure.
Details- Level III trauma center Emergency Department with 48 beds plus flex space
- Patient ratios of 4:1 in the Main ED and 6:1 in Fast Track
- Patient population includes ESRD, cirrhosis, COPD, and psychiatric cases
- Common diagnoses treated include ESRD, substance abuse disorders, psychological disorders, COPD, CHF, abdominal pain, and chest pain
- Utilizes Zoll Defibrillator, Level One Blood Transfuser, Qin Flow Blood Warmer, Hospira Plum
360, Freestyle and Istat POC, and Ultrasound Guided IV equipment - Uses Cerner EMR
- Night shift schedule from 7PM to 7AM
- Minimum of two weekends required per schedule
- No call requirements
- No floating requirements
- Team nursing and Pod System with a dedicated Social Worker and Unit Educator
- Active RN license (NM or Compact) required
- Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, and TNCC (TNCC must be from AHA)
- Minimum 2 years of experience required, with 2 years of Emergency Department experience preferred
- RN ADN education required
- Experience with trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and moderate sedation required
- Provide emergency care across a wide range of trauma, medical, and psychiatric cases
- Facility is a Level III trauma center that receives Level I, II, and III trauma cases via air transport
- Supported by an interim ED Manager and Clinical Coordinator
