American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Nephrology/Med-Surg unit position requiring NM or compact RN license and at least 1 year of experience.

• Nephrology unit functioning as an extension of Med/Surg within a Level III trauma center
• 24-bed unit caring for geriatric and adult patients
• Patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:6
• Common diagnoses/treatments include ESRD, peritoneal dialysis, and hemodialysis
• Equipment used includes VS machines, bladder scanners, lifts, thermal imaging, and IV pumps/tubes
• Uses Cerner EHR
• Day shift schedule from 0700 to 1930
• Required to work at least 2 weekend shifts per month
• No call requirements
• Floating required as needed per facility needs

• Active NM or compact RN license
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required, 2 years preferred
• ADN required
• Med/Surg experience required
• Charge Nurse and Nephrology experience preferred but not required
• Observation Unit experience a plus
• Must score at least 3.2 overall on skills checklist

• Provide nursing care to geriatric and adult patients with renal and medical-surgical needs
• Facility is a 198-bed Level III trauma center serving the Four Corners region of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah
• Located in Farmington, New Mexico, offering access to outdoor recreation and nearby attractions
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
