SummaryAn Irrigation Technician produces irrigation repairs, makes irrigation upgrades, and manages water in landscapes.
Reports toField Operations Manager
Responsibilities- Ensures quality irrigation repairs and other irrigation work.
- Responsible for meeting daily route/project requirements of Green Summit Contracts.
- Oversees and manages 1 other person (irrigation tech helper).
- Proactively manages irrigation needs for the maintenance accounts.
- Responsible for safe operation of all equipment required to complete the work on any given workday.
- Meets productivity budgets for hours, gross margin, and book revenue. This includes checking timecards for accuracy and adjusting the schedule as needed.
- Meet with Account Manager, Field Operations Managers, and Crew Leaders on sites when needed.
- Provides training as needed to Green Summit Team Members.
- Demonstrates professional appearance and hygiene.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Responds to customer and colleague needs, including being tactful, respectful and considerate of others regardless of their status.
- Ability to manage people, and direct their work efforts to ensure timely project/contract completion.
- Exhibits sound and accurate judgment.
- Demonstrates flexibility and the ability to quickly adapt to change in the work environment.

Operational SkillsAbility to operate a trencher, drive a ¾ ton truck or bigger, with an 18′ trailer hauling equipment. Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. JS‑6 License and backflow testing certification preferred but not required.
Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear and frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk.
