Senior Research Scientist I

Position Summary:
PIRE is seeking senior‑level investigators and evaluators to join our Southwest Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This opportunity is open to senior level investigators and evaluators who can substantially contribute to the Southwest Center’s growing portfolio in areas such as alcohol, tobacco, other drugs, public health policy, health disparities, health care services, criminal justice, international health, educational research, and state/community partnerships.

PRE Southwest – NM US (Primary)
Education Required:
Doctorate
- Current or recent funding from NIH, CDC, and/or other federal agencies that fund scientific research.
- Track record of relevant publications in high impact journals.
- Strong skills in research collaboration, project management, and proposal development.
- 3.5–7 weeks of accrued PTO during the first year.
