Retail Associate/ Customer Service, Merchandising
Associate – In-Store Food and Non-Food Demonstrations
Responsible for completing in-store food and non-food demonstrations. Acquire and maintain knowledge of products represented. Prepare, serve, and break down product, equipment, and supplies. Intercept consumers and demonstrate products in a professional manner. Maintain overall professional appearance consistent with job requirements.
Responsibilities- Proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to consumers in a positive manner.
- Effectively communicate features and benefits of the product.
- Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives.
- Maintain a clean, sterile and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
- Maintain a professional appearance consistent with job requirements.
- Properly set up and prepare event table for execution.
- Achieve 100% execution on assigned work.
- Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
- Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives.
- Complete expense reports as per Company Policy.
- Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
- Access the internet, navigate company’s electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook, and view assigned documents, including Microsoft Word & Adobe PDF forms.
This role is not expected to exceed more than 25 hours per week, although the company may adjust workload based on business or client needs.
Additional tasks may be assigned as directed by management.
QualificationsEducation / Experience: High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer
Skills:
Proficient in using a personal computer or mobile device with applications and internal systems.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Local food handlers permit may be required.
Physical Demands: Stand and walk during shift; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms up to 65 inches; talk and hear; visually read instructions and perform events; stoop, kneel, squat, climb or step up ladder; balance; lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds); push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart fully laden;
prepare foods and beverages using required appliances; be in contact with cleaning supplies.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Work Environment: Retail store environment with limited travel.
Physical Appearance: Ensure professional appearance and proper grooming per Retailer dress code.

English primary; bilingual may be required based on business needs.
