United has installed over 25,000 miles of our proprietary Tite Liner® system from 2 inch to 52 inch diameter pipelines for systems with operating pressures up to 7,500 psi. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing fleet vehicles, identifying mechanical issues through inspections and diagnostics, completing repairs and test drives, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Compensation$23.00-$35.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Responsibilities- Perform repair and maintenance of fleet vehicles, both in the shop and during road service calls
- Assess vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic testing to identify worn, damaged, or malfunctioning parts
- Identify and correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, subassemblies, components, parts, or systems
- Verify vehicle performance and operational safety by conducting test drives and adjusting vehicle controls and systems as needed
- Ensure compliance with federal and state vehicle regulations by testing engines, safety systems, and combustion/emissions control standards
- 2+ years of mechanic or fleet maintenance experience preferred
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repair, and diagnostics
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to work independently and safely
- Ability to perform shop and road service repairs as needed
- Heavy equipment, welding, CDL, or ASE experience is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, or reach for extended periods
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise, heat, or moving equipment
- Ability to wear required PPE such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel‑toe footwear
- Ability to climb ladders or access elevated work areas when needed
