HVAC Technician - Residential

Experienced Residential HVAC Service Technician $30–$36/Hour + Bonuses and Spiffs | Farmington, NM Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM–5:00 PM | Residential Service

Robbins Heating & Air Conditioning is looking for an experienced Residential HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team in Farmington.

This position is designed for a technician who can diagnose problems independently, perform quality repairs, communicate confidently with homeowners, and take ownership of each service call. You'll have the support and resources of an established company while continuing to develop your technical skills.

You’ll be responsible for residential service and repair calls, from initial diagnosis through completion.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot residential heating and cooling systems
• Perform repairs, maintenance, and system performance evaluations
• Identify the root cause of equipment issues
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams and system layouts
• Explain system conditions and repair options to homeowners
• Provide accurate recommendations for repair or replacement
• Complete service documentation and communicate important job details
• Maintain clean and organized work areas
• Communicate with leadership regarding parts, pricing, and field needs
• Assist newer technicians with technical questions and best practices when needed

• 2+ years of HVAC service experience required
• Residential HVAC experience strongly preferred
• EPA Certification strongly preferred
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to diagnose systems rather than rely on parts replacement
• Comfortable reading wiring diagrams and system schematics
• Strong customer communication and professionalism
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Reliable, self-motivated approach to field service
• Willingness to continue developing technical and leadership skills

• NATE Certification
• HVAC trade school or formal technical training
• Air balancing experience
• Basic sheet metal knowledge
• Experience safely operating lifts
• Own hand tools

Occasional evening or weekend work may be required based on customer demand.
