Job Summary

The Inventory Specialist oversees and manages the handling of equipment, materials and inventory needs for the field shops of Mesa.

Essential Duties
  • Oversee the inventory use and consumption of the shop location.
  • Ensure parts for technicians are on hand and technicians record correct part numbers on service orders.
  • Follow up to confirm correct part numbers are consumed on work orders through NAV.
  • Identify critical shortages in inventory to eliminate expedited shipping and assist with supply runs.
  • Maintain close communication with shop technicians and the other inventory specialist.
  • Conduct regular inventories to identify and solve stock problems with minimal guidance.
  • Communicate effectively with the shop and chain of command to correct issues as they arise.
  • Act as main point of contact for all inventory‑related issues, including damages and warranty processes.
  • Record discrepancies and collaborate with peers to find solutions (missing inventory, incorrect part consumption, warranty, damages, critical shortages).
  • Provide accurate part information to shop technicians and outstanding inventory status.
  • Maintain positive relationships with vendors and partners in the shop and field.
  • Identify shop needs, run errands, keep organized work areas, and ensure correct part numbers are consumed.
  • Support technicians and operations at the shop and headquarters.
  • Stock product in designated locations, keeping a clean and organized workspace.
  • Label inventory item locations for easy access and correct parts availability.
  • Organize shop, yard, and parts to provide easy access to required items.
  • Communicate inventory discrepancies quickly and accurately with appropriate contacts at HQ.
  • Serve as main point of contact for shop needs; no technician should grab inventory without associate knowledge.
  • Communicate inventory, accounting or operations issues that may arise.
  • Reduce paperwork‑related mistakes on work orders by service technicians.
  • Perform all other duties assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED (required).
  • Minimum 1 year of related experience (required); honorably discharged veterans are preferred.
  • Ability to obtain Crane and Forklift Certifications by the end of probation; reviewed on a case‑by‑case basis for disabilities.
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Company credit card approval and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of inventory management
