Substitute Teaching Assistant
The Spencerport School District is currently accepting applications for substitute teaching assistants in various capacities for the 2026-27 school year. Applications will be reviewed and selected candidates will be contacted for a screening interview. Applicants must be fingerprinted and cleared for employment for the NYS Education Department before employment begins. The substitute is responsible for the fingerprinting fee; and will be reimbursed after having completed 10 days of employment.
Minimum qualifications:
New York State Teacher Assistant preferred; or one year paid or volunteer full time equivalent experience working with children. See highered.nysed.gov for further information regarding certification as a Teaching Assistant in New York State. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; and technologically proficient. Rate of pay: $16.00 per hour. To be considered, candidates are required to complete the application and submit a cover letter, resume, copies of certification(s) or Bachelor's degree.
