Special Education Student Aides
Webster Central School District is seeking special education student aides for the school year. This position is available district-wide, starting as needed from August 31, 2026. The student aide will assist in promoting a positive learning environment under the direction of a certified teacher. The supervisor will be the building principal or his/her designee, with additional supervision for special education aides by a district administrator.
Essential responsibilities include communicating with the teacher regarding student progress, reading and implementing student behavior plans, providing adult supervision during instructional activities, assisting in the preparation of instructional materials, and performing clerical tasks related to instructional tasks. The aide will also collect and record data as directed, supervise students in school-related activities outside the classroom, attend required meetings, assist in disciplinary situations, and provide support in physical care tasks and health-related activities as appropriate.
Salary will be as per the current Educational Support Association Agreement (ESA), with benefits including the New York State Employee Retirement System (NYSERS) pension, longevity payments, NAOEP Professional Standards Program payments, health and dental benefits, an HSA with district contributions, and tuition reimbursement.
