Orthodontic Practice Manager / Financial Coordinator

We are seeking a confident, organized, and patient-focused Practice Manager / Financial Coordinator to join our orthodontic team. This is a unique dual-role opportunity for someone who enjoys both leading a team and working directly with patients to help them understand and navigate the financial side of orthodontic treatment. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, comfortable discussing money and treatment costs, and able to balance the operational needs of the practice with an exceptional patient experience.
What You'll Be Responsible For:Practice Management
- Oversee the daily operations of the orthodontic practice
- Lead, coach, and support the practice team
- Monitor office workflow, scheduling, productivity, and patient experience
- Partner with the orthodontist to achieve practice and financial goals
- Support recruiting, training, onboarding, and employee development
- Address employee and patient concerns professionally
- Maintain a positive, accountable, and team-oriented office culture
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and overall practice performance
- Meet with new and existing patients to review treatment costs and financial options
- Present treatment fees and explain payment plans, financing, insurance benefits, and patient responsibilities
- Assist patients in making informed decisions regarding their treatment investment
- Coordinate insurance benefits, claims, and account questions
- Monitor outstanding balances and assist with collections
- Review patient accounts for accuracy and resolve discrepancies
- Track financial goals and key performance metrics
- Work with the team to improve case acceptance and financial performance
- Previous orthodontic experience strongly preferred
- Management or leadership experience preferred
- Experience with orthodontic financial coordination is a plus
- Confident discussing treatment costs, insurance benefits and financial arrangements with patients
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working with operational and financial reports, and practice metrics
- Ability to lead a team while remaining hands-on in the day-to-day operations
- Professional, approachable, and patient-focused
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
