OB Registered Nurse - PT Nights

Additional Information About the Role

The OB Department provides support for inpatient and outpatient gynecology, obstetrical, and newborn care to patients in need of OB nursing services, including treatment, medication, patient teaching, and discharge planning.

24 hours per week, 12‑hour shifts (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM). Position requires OB/L&D/Post‑Partum and/or Nursery RN experience.

• Level I Nursery: 5 Labor and Triage Suites
• 6 Private Rooms
• 4 Semi‑Private Rooms
• Patient volume: 40 to 60 per month

• Promotes patient- and family‑centered care in a healing environment.
• Educates patients and families on illness or injury management, including post‑treatment home care needs and medication administration.
• Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Participates in professional development.
• Develops, implements, and documents individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with other members of the interprofessional team and patient, family, or caregiver.
• Proactively plans and ensures communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care.
• Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care.
• Assesses patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, including values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population‑specific needs.
• Maintains a constant state of alertness and operates safely in a safety‑sensitive environment.
