EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
KNOWLEDGE,
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
General knowledge of the practices and techniques used in working with special needs students. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to students.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. He employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handler or feel; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, reach with hands and arms and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT Ten-month employment. Salary Range: $25,164 to 39,050
EVALUATION Performance of the position will be evaluated annually in accordance with the provisions of the Prince Edward County School Board's policy on evaluation of classified personnel.
