Cinema Janitor - Part Time

Management Services Corporation, one of The Caton Companies, is seeking Part Time Janitor Staff for Sunchase Cinema 8 located in Farmville, Virginia.

Going to the movies is the all‑American experience! We’re expecting to expand our hours very soon as COVID‑19 restrictions are eased, and we will be ready! Our Janitorial Staff play a vital role in a smoothly operating cinema and a fantastic movie experience for our guests. They should be organized, friendly, and customer‑focused.

The part time janitor position performs custodial work at Sunchase Cinema
8. Responsible for cleaning the theater building, removing debris, and keeping areas neat and tidy. Vacuums and buffs floors, shampoos carpets, empties trash receptacles, and replace lining of trash cans. Mops floors, cleans bathrooms and handles cleaning chemicals in a safe manner.

• Sweeps, vacuums, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors using industrial vacuum cleaners and scrubbing and buffing machines.
• Sometimes using ladders, dusts and washes walls, cleans ceilings and dusts and polishes light fixtures. Washes and replaces blinds.
• Moves cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas. May remove stains from such surfaces as rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions.
• May also sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow or perform other incidental seasonal tasks.
• Safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Cleaning the bathrooms.

This is a part‑time position; typical work hours and days are 3–4 hours per night Monday through Sunday, between 8:45 p.m. and 9:00 a.m.

• Need to utilize personal transportation to pick up replacement parts and supplies from vendors.
• "On‑call" status for snow removal.
• Must have valid driver's license and automobile insurance coverage.

• High School Diploma/GED
• Little or no previous work‑related skill, knowledge, or experience is needed
