• Operates production equipment according to standard operating procedures.
• May function as a changeover; must be able to assist with color changes, setting, material handler, inspector, and slab handler.
• Conducts tests or inspections as required on the control plan and according to test methods.
• Performs additional job tasks as documented in the job task check sheet.
• May stop production equipment when a safety, quality, or mechanical problem prevents equipment use or conformance to product requirements.
• Follows ISO operating procedures and maintains quality checks as specified.
• Keeps area safe, clean, and organized.
• Performs other related duties as required.

While performing the duties of this position, the associate is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. The associate is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate may be required to sit, climb or balance. The associate may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.

The position may expose the associate to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and a wide range of temperatures. Noise level is usually loud. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Education and Knowledge: High school diploma or equivalent experience.

Experience: 1 year previous manufacturing/production experience.

Competencies: Good oral and written communications skills, good record keeping skills, good listening skills, accurate measurement capability, ability to understand and speak basic English, ability to work safely and conscientiously. Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.
