Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Fayetteville, Arkansas. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to grow within the automotive industry while developing your skills in accounts payable and data entry. If you have a keen eye for accuracy and are eager to learn, this role provides a supportive environment with training on AP processes.

Responsibilities:

- Process and verify invoices to ensure accurate and timely payments.

- Perform high-volume numeric data entry with precision and efficiency.

- Maintain organized records of accounts payable transactions for auditing purposes.

- Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and manage payment schedules.

- Collaborate with team members to streamline AP workflows and improve procedures.

- Utilize 10-key accounting skills to input financial data accurately.

- Assist with reconciling accounts and ensuring compliance with company policies.

- Support month-end closing activities by preparing reports and documentation.

- Adapt to new software systems and tools as required for AP functions.

- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge related to accounts payable. Requirements - Minimum of 1 year experience in accounts payable or a related field.

- Proficiency in numeric data entry and typing with high accuracy.

- Familiarity with 10-key accounting tools and techniques.

- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

- Effective communication abilities for vendor and team interaction.

- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and systems.

- Detail-oriented mindset to ensure accuracy in financial records.

- Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
