Summary of Job Duties

The Parking Services Liaison reports to the Assistant Director, Business Services. The position will review and evaluate written parking citation appeals in accordance with established policies and procedures; determine appropriate outcomes including upholding, reducing, issuing warnings, or dismissing citations. Prepare and deliver clear, professional written responses that communicate decisions and support rationale. This position will also serve as a point of contact for escalated customer inquiries, resolving complex issues with professionalism, consistency, and sound judgment;

conduct periodic assessments of campus parking facilities, including signage and lot conditions, to ensure accuracy, visibility, and alignment with enforcement practices; and provides recommendations for improvements as needed.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two years of experience in administrative law, code enforcement, paralegal work, or high-level customer service involving conflict resolution.
  • Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Public Administration, or a related field preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of department operations, policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate activities, resources, and materials associated with the needs of the department or program.
  • Ability to interpret complex legal codes and apply them to specific often unique scenarios.
  • Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to maintain neutrality, professionalism, and clarity under pressure.
