About the Role - Relocation Assistance If Needed!

We're looking for a detail-oriented Estimator to join our preconstruction team. In this role, you'll develop accurate cost estimates, budgets, and takeoffs that drive profitability and strategic growth. You'll collaborate across design, land development, and construction teams to ensure projects launch with confidence and precision.

What You'll Do
  • Review construction documents, designs, and specifications for full scope comprehension
  • Prepare conceptual, preliminary, and detailed cost estimates at various design stages
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend value engineering options
  • Develop bid scopes, instructions, and solicitation schedules for vendors/trade partners
  • Analyze subcontractor bids, clarify discrepancies, and negotiate pricing
  • Maintain historical cost data, unit pricing, and vendor benchmarks
  • Present cost updates in preconstruction meetings and support leadership in decision-making
What We're Looking For
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline (or equivalent estimating experience)
  • 5+ years of estimating experience on residential, commercial, or site development projects over $7M
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Plan Swift
  • Ability to read architectural plans and perform detailed CSI-division takeoffs
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and cost modeling skills
  • Knowledge of market pricing, construction methods, material lead times, and labor availability
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet aggressive deadlines
