Estimator – Commercial Flooring
The Estimator – Commercial Flooring supports revenue growth and project success by preparing accurate, competitive estimates for commercial flooring projects across Northwest Arkansas and the surrounding region. This role is responsible for quantity takeoffs, scope development, pricing coordination, and bid preparation, working closely with leadership, suppliers, general contractors, and project management teams. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and an understanding of commercial construction environments, with exposure to the full project lifecycle from preconstruction through closeout.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and prepare accurate estimates for commercial flooring projects
• Review plans, specifications, and addenda to identify scope requirements, risks, and opportunities
• Develop complete bid packages including pricing, exclusions, alternates, and clarifications
• Coordinate supplier and subcontractor pricing to ensure competitive and complete proposals
• Track bid submissions and follow up with general contractors as needed
• Assist with project buyout and handoff to project management and operations teams
• Support margin protection by identifying cost risks and constructability concerns during preconstruction
• Maintain estimating files, documentation, and historical cost data for future reference
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and internal estimate reviews as required
• Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes, accuracy, and turnaround time
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements
• Experience preparing estimates for commercial construction projects, preferably within flooring or interior finishes
• Strong ability to perform detailed quantity takeoffs from plans and specifications
• Working knowledge of commercial construction documents, scopes of work, and bid processes
• Ability to develop clear inclusions, exclusions, alternates, and clarifications
• Proficiency with estimating tools, spreadsheets, and digital plan review software
• Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills
• Effective communication skills for coordination with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams
• Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
Required
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field

Work Experience:
Commercial construction or subcontract estimating – 2+ years

Work Experience:
Estimating or preconstruction experience – 3 to 7+ years
