Summary of Job Duties
The Part‑Time Parking Services Partner is a critical member of the University’s Campus Services Team ensuring the safe and smooth flow of vehicles and the campus community. The position is a frontline university representative, interacting with students, staff, and visitors to provide exceptional customer service, communicate parking and transit options, and resolve parking concerns and infractions. It involves guiding users, collaborating with parking personnel, reporting safety or maintenance issues, and may require work outside of normal business hours.
Responsibilities- Respond to real‑time opportunities to support campus access, safety, and parking operations.
- Interact with students, staff, and visitors across campus.
- Provide customer service and communicate parking and transit options.
- Resolve parking concerns and infractions.
- Guide students, employees, and visitors in parking procedures.
- Collaborate with other parking personnel.
- Report safety or maintenance issues.
- Maintain regular, reliable attendance and a collegial work environment.
- Minimum: high school diploma or equivalent; valid driver’s license.
- Preferred: associate’s degree or advanced specialized or technical training; experience in customer service, security, campus operations, or parking services.
- Knowledge of campus parking rules and regulations.
- Knowledge of handheld computers and radio procedures.
- Knowledge of basic conflict resolution rules.
- Knowledge of parking and building locations and parking enforcement procedures.
- Ability to oversee activities and provide parking assistance.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- PSP hours:
Day shift 6:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m. (Mon‑Fri);
Evening shift 2 p.m.–10 p.m. (Mon‑Fri). - Summer shifts:
Day 6:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m. (Mon‑Fri);
Evening 10 a.m.–6 p.m. (Mon‑Fri). - Work special events such as concerts, basketball games, football games, commencement, baseball games.
- Graduate students are subject to background checks.
- Salary: $15.00 per hour.
