AboutThe Department
Our esteemed architectural group specializes in providing comprehensive design and design-build services. As an integral part of VCC, a national general contractor and construction manager, our team of experienced architects is uniquely positioned to cater to our clients’ needs by seamlessly integrating design and construction expertise. Regardless of the project’s scope or size, DCI is committed to delivering outstanding results through a holistic approach that encompasses both creative design and efficient execution.
Job Role SummaryAs an Architect, you will be accountable for reviewing project information during all phases of construction. Identifying areas of concern that impact design intent and construction logistics are key responsibilities. Communication with the marketing, scheduling, and project management departments is critical.
What You Will Do- Ability to work in a team role in design and design-build projects
- Implement BIM management plan for select projects
- Provide peer review services for projects designed by other design teams
- Review and coordinate key submittals and shop drawings
- Develop 3D computer models for review and coordination
- Develop 4D computer sequence and animation videos for review and coordination
- Review laser scan data and as-built documentation for project coordination
- Develop layout plans for field coordination, design, and construction integration (DCI)
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 3-5 years of experience working as an Architect
- Proficient in Revit
- Desire to work in a fast paced, technically advanced, and team oriented environment
- Strong communication skills
- Multifamily and/or Retail experience
