Physician-Hospitalist

The Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks, in Fayetteville, AR, is seeking a full-time, Hospitalist. We are fully committed to providing top quality medical care by serving and honoring America’s Veterans.

Candidates must possess an active, current, unrestricted license in any U.S. State.

Additional Requirement: Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine

Highlights of this opportunity:

• Potential starting base salary range: $280-$315K

• Permanent full-time position
• Daily schedule, to be discussed during interview
• Responsible for the general Internal Medicine care of patients to include, but not limited to patient assessment, management and treatment of acute exacerbation of illnesses and minor medical changes
• Manage patients efficiently with attention to length of stay and care transitions
• Champion inpatient initiatives to improve overall quality, safety, and patient experience
• Performs academic bedside rounds with strong interest in medical resident supervision and evaluation
• Performs rounds on the medical wards coordinating patient care
• Performs patient history and physical examinations on admission to the hospital
