Instructor of Nursing

Overview

ASU-Beebe invites applications for three (3) full-time twelve-month Instructor of Nursing positions on the ASU-Beebe Searcy campus. The selected faculty member will teach in the Practical Nursing and Registered Nursing Programs, supervise clinical practice, mentor adjunct instructors, and contribute to related health courses and evening/weekend activities.

• Prepare and read assigned lesson plans
• Present lesson plans to students
• Administer and grade tests and student assignments
• Supervise students in all aspects of clinical education
• Work closely with supervisor regarding nursing education teaching materials
• Order needed supplies to teach required material
• Work with supervisor regarding materials being presented and problems encountered
• Clinical supervision of client care by students
• Make clinical assignments for students based upon students’ knowledge level and abilities
• Collaboration with faculty and administration on curriculum development, revision, and updates
• Attend nursing faculty and department meetings, division meetings, and advisory meetings
• Travel to other ASU-Beebe campuses and clinical sites for teaching and meetings
• Assist students with all invasive procedures performed on clients at clinical sites
• Perform any other related duties as required or assigned

• Registered Nurse with an unencumbered license in Arkansas
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends
