** About the Opportunity
** The Pro Vice-Chancellor (Curriculum) is a senior academic leadership role responsible for shaping the future of the University’s curriculum and academic program quality. Reporting to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education), you will lead strategy, policy and innovation across curriculum renewal, academic program development, quality assurance, regulatory compliance and educational excellence.

This is a pivotal opportunity to influence whole‑of‑institution curriculum design, strengthen academic quality, and support strategic educational initiatives aligned with

* You will work closely with Chancellery leaders, faculties and Student & Scholarly Services to ensure the academic programs at Melbourne continue to deliver exceptional educational outcomes.

Responsibilities Include:

*** Leading innovation in curriculum, including new program offerings, curriculum partnerships, professional learning, work‑integrated learning and transnational education.
* Overseeing reporting and management of academic programs, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and Melbourne curriculum principles.
* Providing academic leadership for quality assurance, regulation and compliance of academic programs.
* Advising senior leadership on emerging trends in educational innovation, curriculum quality and global higher education developments.
* Developing and maintaining institutional policies for curriculum, teaching, learning and assessment.
* Guiding engagement with regulators and sector bodies, including audits and reviews.
* Fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and educational excellence across the University.
** About You
** You will be a distinguished academic leader with:
* A PhD and an outstanding academic and research profile.
* Deep expertise in curriculum, education policy, academic programs and teaching innovation.
* Demonstrated success leading educational and academic program initiatives at scale.
* Strong knowledge of the Australian higher education regulatory environment (incl. TEQSA).
* Proven ability to develop and implement institutional frameworks, policies and quality systems.
* Demonstrated understanding of digital learning technologies and their role in contemporary curriculum delivery.
* Exceptional leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across complex organisations.

* ** Experience in institutional research and evaluation.
* Familiarity with international accreditation standards.
