Job Title

Early Care and Education Projects (ECEP) Training Advisor

Job Description

The ECEP Training Advisor will provide oversight and training support for online and face-to-face early childhood training, coach other trainers, conduct training, and provide trainer in-service. In addition, this position will write, revise, and proofread training manuals and materials for statewide delivery. This position interacts with trainers, training advisors, and support personnel and works in participant and trainer databases to assist with filing monthly and other related reports.

This is a one-year appointment, renewable based on the need for the position, the availability of funding, and continued satisfactory performance in the role. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a closely related field from an accredited institution of higher education
  • At least three years experience or more teaching and designing curriculum for birth to five-year-old children
  • At least three years experience coaching, conducting, and designing training for adult learners
  • Experience writing early childhood content (writing, revising, editing, and working on deadlines)
  • Experience with Microsoft and other publishing formats

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with statewide agencies and other partners
  • Experience with early childhood organizations and advocacy networks
  • Experience working with grant proposals and awards

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs):

  • Knowledge of the Early Childhood System and the rules and regulations that govern each system (Licensing, Better Beginnings, Office of Early Childhood, Head Start, Arkansas Better Chance)
  • Knowledge using the AR Professional Development Registry
  • Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate projects
  • Ability to available to travel and work some evenings and weekends
  • Ability to be reliable and proactive with assigned work

Additional Information:

This position is renewable annually based on continued need for the position, availability of funding, and satisfactory job performance.

This position is a Designated Research Position and is regulated by the Arkansas Research Education Protection Act of 2025. Prior to issuance of an offer of employment, the University is required to request and obtain additional information about an applicant's background and, if required, conduct an additional review of that background information.

Salary Information: $56,123
