Faculty Position
The University of Arkansas is pleased to announce that it is seeking applicants for a 9-month, 100% appointed tenure-track or tenured assistant, associate, or full professor (depending on qualifications) to teach property law and related courses for the academic year.
Candidates must have a J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school and must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring students. Applicants must demonstrate an excellent record of scholarship or, at the entry level, a strong potential for scholarship. Successful candidates will also show a commitment to service within and outside the University. Lateral candidates are encouraged to apply.

This is an in-person position. Most University classes are offered face-to-face and this role requires regular on-campus presence to support high-quality instruction and student learning. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor will depend on the candidate's level of experience.
Minimum Qualifications
- JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school or an international law degree
- A distinguished academic record
- Demonstrated scholarly promise
Preferred Qualifications
- A law license and two years of practical legal experience
- Tenure-track teaching experience or experience as a visiting assistant professor or fellow
