Coordinator of Recruitment, Outreach, and Summer Programs

Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Enrollment Management, the Coordinator of Recruitment, Outreach, and Summer Programs coordinates and implements initiatives that introduce prospective students and community partners to the College of Engineering. The position organizes recruitment events and communications, supports engineering outreach assists in the operational planning and delivery of summer programs, and recruits, trains, and coordinates student staff who represent the College.

The coordinator serves as a visible representative of the College and works closely with University admissions personnel, faculty and department leaders, school counselors, community partners, prospective students, families, and student employees. The role requires responsive communication, detailed event and program management, and the flexibility to travel and work outside regular business hours when programs and recruitment activities require it. Regular, reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

This position requires travel in order to develop and maintain partner relationships and execute programs and events. Workload will shift during peak recruitment, outreach, and summer-program periods.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education
  • Experience in student recruitment, outreach, or summer camps
  • Valid driver's license

Applicable equivalencies may be considered on the above qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least one year of experience in higher education, event planning, program development and implementation, or a related field
  • Experience working with STEM students or programs
  • Experience supervising, training, or mentoring student employees or seasonal staff

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient skills with the Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication skills: written, verbal, listening, public speaking and presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work alone and in a team setting
  • Ability to analyze financial records and prepare reports

Additional Information:

This position is renewable annually based on continued need for the position, availability of funding, and satisfactory job performance.

Salary Information: $46,383.00
