Summary ofJob Duties:
The William Dillard Department of Accounting in the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas seeks applications from interested candidates to fill a non-tenure track Teaching Assistant Professor position effective August 16, 2027. A Teaching Assistant Professor is expected to teach eight courses per year with a mix of face‑to‑face and online courses, as needed. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience;
benefits are competitive.
Regular on‑campus availability, in‑person teaching, and active contribution to the life of the department, including exhibiting respect and cooperation in shared academic and administrative tasks are essential duties.
Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:
- Hold a Ph.D. with an emphasis in accounting from a nationally or internationally accredited university
- Evidence of high‑quality teaching in undergraduate and/or graduate accounting courses
- Evidence or potential to provide both face‑to‑face and online undergraduate and/or graduate accounting courses
- Must meet standards to be classified as Scholarly Academic under AACSB (this could include recent publications in peer‑reviewed journals and/or engagement in professional practice through outreach, consulting, or other activities consistent with AACSB standards.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience teaching courses focused on individual and/or corporate taxation
- Evidence or potential to publish in peer‑reviewed accounting journals with a primary research emphasis in tax accounting
