Position Summary

Post‑Doctoral Fellow – Electrical Engineering at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. The fellow will work on medium‑voltage silicon carbide module characterizations, high‑power grid‑tied converter development and validation, and megawatt solid‑state transformer development. Primary responsibilities include research, lab operations, and faculty support for graduate student supervision.

Qualifications
  • Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering or closely related field, conferred by the start of employment.
  • Experience in design, development, and control of power electronic converters.
  • Experience in PCB design, gate driver design, and thermal management solutions.
  • Experience in one of the following areas:
    • Power electronic circuit theory (dc/dc converters, inverters, multi‑level converters).
    • PWM control methods.
    • Thermal management techniques in power electronic modules and assemblies.
  • Preferred: medium‑power or medium‑voltage converters, proficiency in DSP/CPLD/FPGA programming, wide‑bandgap device packaging, EMI filter design, PCB layout, or medium/high‑frequency transformer design.
Additional Information

Position renewable annually based on continued need, funding availability, and satisfactory job performance.

Salary

Commensurate with education and experience.
