Job Summary
Responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of agricultural and business relationships. Cultivate relationships to provide outstanding service to help clients with their financial goals. Determines feasibility of granting loan, facilities efficient loan processing and coordinates loan closing process. Ensures compliance with company as well as SBA underwriting guidelines (when applicable). Stays current on agricultural/small business loan trends. May have latitude for decision making;
or mentor entry level loan officers.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for developing and maintaining a portfolio of agricultural loan accounts
- Makes and services loans and leases within delegated authority and in accordance with association policies.
- Analyzes loan applications, audits loan files
- Services existing loans and counsels customers in an effort to reduce delinquencies and meet bank goals for increasing loan volume.
- Coordinates loan closing process and assists with loan servicing.
- General support of management in operation of the bank including asset-liability management and marketing efforts.
- Performs other related duties as required or assigned
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of five years of agricultural and small business lending experience

- Must have strong sales, negotiating and problem solving skills
- Organizational skills to prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines in an orderly, productive manner
- Strong client service and interpersonal skills in dealing with both internal and external clients.
- Team-oriented with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization
- Customer service and collection skills to handle situations which require assertiveness and discretion
- Ability to travel within market and outside of the market periodically
- Must possess and maintain current and valid driver’s license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage
