Mission Data Scientist, Senior

The Opportunity:

We have an opportunity for you to use your analytical skills to improve strategic innovation for the federal government. You’ll work closely with your customer to understand their questions and needs and then dig into their data-rich environment to find the pieces of their information puzzle. You’ll mentor teammates, develop algorithms, write scripts, build predictive analytics, apply machine learning, and use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn that set of disparate data points into objective answers to help federal health organizations make informed decisions.

• Mentor teammates and collaborate with customers to understand their questions and needs.
• Develop algorithms, write scripts, build predictive analytics, and apply machine learning to turn data into actionable insights.
• Turn disparate data points into objective answers to help federal health organizations make informed decisions.
• Provide customers with a deep understanding of their data, what it means, and how it can be used.

• 5+ years of experience with data analytics, software engineering, data engineering, data science, or machine learning engineering
• Experience with Python development
• Experience briefing military leaders and officers
• Experience automating analytic workflows and data frames and using quantitative modeling and supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms in support of operational requirements
• Ability to communicate technical requirements to non-technical client SMEs
• Ability to travel CONUS 25% of the time
• Ability to deploy internationally for up to 90 days
• TS/SCI clearance
• HS diploma or GED

• Experience with Palantir Foundry
• Experience with software development, including API development, managing databases, and developing software architecture for containerization tools such as Docker or Kubernetes
• Experience with deployment
• Experience with ETL tools, data warehousing, and data pipeline development
• Experience in DoD and IC domains
• Knowledge of artificial intelligence principles and practices
• Bachelor’s degree
